Adding Icons on your Every Blogger Widget , you can give a good look to your blog.Follow these simple steps to do it.

1.Log in to your dashboard--> layout- -> Edit HTML

2.Click on "Expand Widget Templates"

3.Scroll down to where you see this:
.main .Blog {
border-bottom-width: 0;
}

4.After the above code , copy and paste the code below:
.sidebar .widget h2 {
background: yellow url('URL OF YOUR IMAGE') no-repeat left top;
margin-top:5px;
text-indent: 20px;
padding:7px;
}

5.Click on "Save Templates" and you are done.

Once you activate any widget, in your blog, it will be displayed in all the pages by default, including your homepage.
But sometimes, we do want to show some widgets only on Homepage or only for the individual posts pages, or only in a specific page, the coding is quite simple, but you need to customize the widget through the "Edit HTML" link in your "Layout" section.

Follow these steps:
Create any widget, and place it where-ever you want, and save the template. Check if it is working (should be displayed in all the pages). Remember to give a TITLE to it, like Archives/BlogRoll/Maps/Clock, anything unique.

Now go to "Edit HTML" page.
Click/mark "Expand Widget Templates"
Then find for that unique Title (by searching through CTRL+F method)
It will be something like this:
<b:widget id='HTML3' locked='false' title='UNIQUE WORD OR TITLE HERE' type='HTML'>
<b:includable id='main'>
<!-- only display title if it's non-empty -->
<b:if cond='data:title != &quot;&quot;'>
<h2 class='title'><data:title/></h2>
</b:if>
<div class='widget-content'>
<data:content/>
</div>

<b:include name='quickedit'/>
</b:includable>
</b:widget>

Now tweak this as follows

CASE #1
To SHOW the code/widget only in HomePage
<b:widget id='HTML3' locked='false' title='UNIQUE WORD OR TITLE HERE' type='HTML'>
<b:includable id='main'>
<b:if cond='data:blog.url == data:blog.homepageUrl'>
<!-- only display title if it's non-empty -->
<b:if cond='data:title != &quot;&quot;'>
<h2 class='title'><data:title/></h2>
</b:if>
<div class='widget-content'>
<data:content/>
</div>

<b:include name='quickedit'/>
</b:if>
</b:includable>
</b:widget>

CASE #2
To SHOW the widget in "All Posts", but NOT in HomePage
<b:widget id='HTML3' locked='false' title='UNIQUE WORD OR TITLE HERE' type='HTML'>
<b:includable id='main'>
<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "item"'>
<!-- only display title if it's non-empty -->
<b:if cond='data:title != &quot;&quot;'>
<h2 class='title'><data:title/></h2>
</b:if>
<div class='widget-content'>
<data:content/>
</div>

<b:include name='quickedit'/>
</b:if>
</b:includable>
</b:widget>

CASE #3
To SHOW the widget in any particular page
<b:widget id='HTML3' locked='false' title='UNIQUE WORD OR TITLE HERE' type='HTML'>
<b:includable id='main'>
<b:if cond='data:blog.url == "SPECIFIC_BLOG_POST_URL"'>
<!-- only display title if it's non-empty -->
<b:if cond='data:title != &quot;&quot;'>
<h2 class='title'><data:title/></h2>
</b:if>
<div class='widget-content'>
<data:content/>
</div>

<b:include name='quickedit'/>
</b:if>
</b:includable>
</b:widget>
Add those code lines in red color, as per your requirement.

CASE #4
To HIDE a widget ONLY in a particular page/post, and to display it in all other pages of your blog, use this code (shown below is only the code in RED from the previous code):
...
...
<b:if cond='data:blog.url != "SPECIFIC_BLOG_POST_URL"'>
...
...
...
</b:if>
...
...

CASE #5
To SHOW widgets only in Archive Pages
...
...
<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "archive"'>
...
...
...
</b:if>
...
...

CASE #5
To SHOW widgets only in Static Pages
...
...
<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "static_page"'>
...
...
...
</b:if>
...
...

CASE #6
To HIDE widgets in Static Pages
...

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType != "static_page"'>

Malignant mesothelioma following treatment for Hodgkin’s disease

PURPOSE: Asbestos exposure is the major known risk factor for mesothelioma, but several case reports have suggested a link between radiation therapy and subsequent development of malignant mesothelioma. This report explores a possible association between radiation therapy for Hodgkin’s disease and mesothelioma. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Four cases of malignant mesothelioma were observed following Hodgkin’s disease at the Mesothelioma Clinic of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. A fifth such patient was found after a review of the literature. RESULTS: In all five cases, the mesothelioma arose in the field of prior radiotherapy. No history of asbestos exposure was elicited by careful questioning or by review of chest radiographs. Examination of lung tissue in one patient showed 250 ferruginous bodies per gram of lung tissue, consistent with no significant prior exposure. The mean interval between radiation treatment for Hodgkin’s disease and development of mesothelioma was 15 years, which emphasizes the need for continued follow-up and evaluation of these patients and supports a causal relationship. CONCLUSION: Mesothelioma may need to be added to the list of second malignancies that arise following radiation therapy for Hodgkin’s disease. Further support is given to a causal link between radiation exposure and mesothelioma.

What You Should Know Before Buying Furniture at Auctions

Auctions are great for finding unique furniture at bargain prices, but before buying furniture at an auction familiarize yourself with the process.
There are many obvious benefits to buying furniture at an auction. You can get furniture at real bargain prices and sometimes you have access to furniture or other objects that you wouldn’t normally come across.
Yet, if you are going to an auction for the first time, the quick pace and having to make split second decisions can seem slightly intimidating at first. Knowing and understanding the process will make it easier for you to make savvy bids.

Inventory Sources

While all kinds of items end up on the auction block, the inventory gets there from many very different sources such as:
  • Liquidators
  • Private companies
  • Homeowners who want to get some extra cash
  • Charities
  • Estates
  • Government agencies also put up impounded or lost and found items.
      • You can search online for furniture auctions. A great search resource is Live Auction Talk
      • Look for notices in newspapers.
      • Ask around at antique or used furniture stores.
      • Subscribe with auction houses to be informed of upcoming events.
    • Finding Auctions

      Auctions can be held at many different sites. Estate auctions can be held on the site of the estate, other types can be held at auction houses, hotels, community centers or even online.

What Is Mesothelioma?

Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer affecting the mesothelium, which is a membrane that covers and protects most of the internal organs of the body. In most cases, it begins in the pleura (the lining around the lungs) or peritoneum (the lining around the abdomen). The cancer is typically caused by asbestos exposure. A history of asbestos exposure at work is reported in about 70 to 80 percent of all cases of the disease. Standard treatment options include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.
Mesothelioma is a benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous) tumor affecting the mesothelium, which is a membrane that covers most of the body’s internal organs. Most cases of mesothelioma begin in the pleura (lining around the lungs) or peritoneum (the lining around the abdomen).
Benign mesothelioma can also be called a fibroma, and cancerous mesothelioma is also known as malignant mesothelioma. A mesothelioma can further be named based on where it occurs. For example, malignant pleural mesothelioma is cancer that begins in the lining around the lungs.
Most people who develop malignant mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos particles. A benign mesothelioma does not appear to have any relationship to asbestos exposure.

No matter where you are located, businesses seem to clamor to host your website. The top hosting positions among these companies are not only hard to award, but hard to define as well. There are simply too many needs to be met for too many different websites to conclusively have ideal criteria for a hosting website. All top hosting contenders do meet standard requirements for standard hosting services, and overseas companies often will meet these needs for a lower price than US or Europe based competitors, but should hosting be outsourced overseas?
Why the Difference in Price
Foreign web hosting offers the same packages as top hosting companies for considerably less cost in most cases. While some overseas companies may simply be offering low rates as a sales ploy, other offer rates that adequately reflect the cost of living in that country. Overhead costs can be tremendously lower in countries such as India or Pakistan , which means the web hosting services can be offered for less.
This makes it difficult to determine the best route for selecting top hosting companies based solely on price. Low prices can be tempting, but there is always the question of quality. Do the budget services offer the same level of service? Like all things, that answer simply depends on the company. Overall, webmasters should not write off or immediately sign up for foreign hosting companies simply based on rates. There are many other determining factors to consider.
Location, Location, Location
Much like real estate, location matters. The closer your server is to your clients, the faster those clients will be able to access your website. Even in a virtual existence, the physical distance between servers and end users can make a difference. Most internet marketers target United States and European citizens, so by hosting halfway around the globe, website response time for target demographics may be adversely affected.
Customer Service
Many foreign companies are highly trained in customer service and are highly respectful of customers and other individuals. Customer, in this case meaning webmasters, care is a top priority for most of these companies as they realize they must work a bit harder than top hosting companies in the United States to garner the same level of respect and reputation.
Having stated that, hosting in countries with different customs as well as time zones can also be frustrating for webmasters. The same problems that complicate any sort of outsourcing affect web hosting as well. Communication gaps, misunderstandings, and difficulty finding a common time to work together, despite the claims of 24/7 service, can all plague individuals outsourcing hosting. These problems, of course, are not a guaranteed byproduct of overseas hosting, but rather should be determined on an individual basis.

Today I will show how to add a favicon to a blogspotblog without using any plug-in. Please keep in mind if you are tech savvy you can add a favicon to yourWordPress blog without and additional plug-in as well.To add a favicon you need to have a favicon and there are plenty of ways to create a favicon.If you are planning on using Photoshop then you need to download this plug-in.
If thats not possible there are plenty of sites out there that generates a favicon for you when you upload an image.Do a Google Search for "free favicon Generator" and plenty of sites would come up.I personally used http://www.genfavicon.com/ to create favicons because after uploading the image they let you select a portion of the image you want as the favicon. Set the size ( 16 x 16 ) capture and preview and you get a link to downloadthe favicon.ico file. The whole process want take you five minutes.
Since you cant upload .ico files to blogger you need to find some free image hosting service to use and of course that service should let you upload .ico files.Since your using a service by Google I suggest you use Google page creator which lets you upload .ico files.Then get the link to the favicon file.
If thats a bit complicated for you go to http://www.iconj.com/generator.php where it creates a favicon for you and gives the facility to host if for free too.And it generates the url to be added in your header so I think this is the most easiest method for non tech bloggers.Thanks to Military Wife for sharing this info.
Update - I'm getting comments saying that iconj doesn't work anymore. So the best option is to create the favicon using genfavicon and upload it to a free image hosting site. I recommend ImageBoo , you don't have to register and you can upload ico files. After uploading the file select the direct link given at the very bottom. It should look like "imageboo. com/files/1zh7vnfh8qwhu9f1dinu.ico " , add that as the "your url" given in the below instructions.
